Hello
Everyone!! I hope your week is off to a
good start and that you have several good books to enjoy. There are two things I found out today that
are important for my fellow bloggers.
Blogging
for books has to verify your email when you rate reviews and if you don’t
verify, the rating does not go through.
So please check the email you listed, you only need to do this once, so
that the rating is valid. If you’re
taking the time and making the effort to rate reviews then you want to make
sure the rating counts.
I
mailed off another prize today and was told by the post office that you can
only use media mail rates if the package ONLY contains books/dvds/cds. If anything else is mixed in with the package
and they open to inspect it, the person receiving the package must pay extra
postage. Well, I usually have one or two
extra surprises for those who win things on my blog so it’s more than just
books I’m sending and I didn’t know the post office was doing that. You may want to check into that with your
post office to verify this, the person receiving the prize should never have to
pay extra postage for something they won.
Also,
if you ever have trouble leaving a comment on my blog, please email me so I can
look into that. I don’t think it’s a
problem with my blog, but sometimes it happens and I want my blog to be easily
accessible for comments.
I’m
reviewing Fairies Fly, The Maid of Fairbourne Hall, a selection from
booksneeze, and a Mary Connealy book next.
My Caller ID review isn’t due until April 11, but I’m looking forward to
it. Tonight I will be participating in
the Facebook chat Beauty for Ashes with Dorothy Love, they’re always fun and
it’s a treat to get to know the author.
I
can’t believe March is almost over, but my goal for 2012 remains the
same….trust God more. No matter what’s
happening in my life or how many books are waiting to be reviewed, I’m counting
on my Beloved for favor, more good books, blessings, revival, continued
breakthroughs and even my time for getting published. I have been so busy with my family, my best
friend and my book reviews that I have not written anything yet this year. I’m excited about what God’s doing, but I
have so many story ideas and I need to sit still and get them out! I love reviewing books and helping new
authors get the word spread for their book, but I have stories that will
entertain and bless as well.
For
some reason, my shelfari is no longer working.
Maybe I tried listing too many books on it, don’t know. I have spent too much time trying to figure
it out so I’m not using it for the time being.
Maybe I’ll be able to get it working properly again, but for now I’m
leaving it alone. What I do now is post
the book cover with every review so the image is available that way. It’s more convenient for me and you’re able
to see what the cover looks like.
Thanks
once again to all who commented and participated with my brother’s birthday
tribute, I was utterly blessed by the response.
He hasn’t had the chance to see the video yet, but I keep praying for
God’s timing to prevail.
I
think that’s it! Thank you all for your
comments, support and encouragement J I hope you’re enjoying the book reviews, the
most difficult thing for me is finding space in my room for all of these
books! I’m loving every bit of reviewing
and I’ve come to realize I would love to be an editor as well as a published
writer. As long as it keeps me next to
books, I’m having fun!
What
about you? My fellow bloggers, what has
reviewing books taught you lately? I’m
always learning something new from each book review even if I’m not crazy about
the book, but I’m grateful for the experience.
Hope to see you at the facebook chat tonight, please holler at me if
you’re there because last time a few of my blogging buddies were there and I
didn’t even realize it, what?? Enjoy the
rest of the week and happy reading to you!!
