Email Was Hacked, Prayers Needed

Apparently my email was hacked today and EVERY email on my contact list was compromised and erased.  If any of you received an email from me saying I was in Scotland and needed money…..please disregard and I’m soooo sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you.  I’m so embarrassed and a little angry right now.  I have changed my password already, but I’m also praying that NO ONE will be deceived from this.  I’d also like to ask you for your prayers so that my email and the emails of all my loved ones and friends will be protected in a situation like this; and for this to be completely resolved immediately.  I’m taking this to the throne and asking for mercy on these hackers but for justice as well.  Again I’m truly sorry if you received this hoax of an email from my address and I thank you for your understanding and prayers.  Thank you!  *wman4jcATaolDOTcom is now receiving emails but megstarsATaolDOTcom is still the backup, thanks everyone for your comments and prayers*

I got an email and then immediately checked your blog to either let you know or to see what was up. Glad you aren't stranded in Scotland, sorry that you haven't actually just enjoyed a vacation there, and sorry that your account was hacked. Praying for you!

I've seen a lot of people getting hacked. Mostly I've seen it mostly with yahoo accounts. It's the main reason I don't use yahoo anymore. All of my friends & family know that if something is sent from my yahoo account to email me on my gmail ones or text me and find out if i've sent it.

You should totally try gmail.

I'm sorry you got hacked Kara. I hope you get it all worked out.

thanks Dawn, good to know about the gmail :) I'll look into it. Keep praying for me and thanks for your support and encouragement, blessings!

Kara, happened to me with yahoo, too. A lewd email went out to my contacts--total embarrassment! I deleted my address book, an extreme solution, but I wanted to be sure it didn't happen again. It's a creepy feeling, for sure!

Hey Diane and thanks for adding more blessings to my day with your comment :) Deleting your address book was an extreme step, but after today I completely understand doing something like that. I'm still considering cancelling my email and making up another one, but will pray about it first :)

It IS creepy and the online version of violating someone's property (my home was robbed once as a kid and it's the same feeling), but I trust God even in setbacks like this one and I praise God for friends (like you) and family for being there for me.

Keep me in prayer as I navigate this incident and thanks again for your understanding, blessings Diane!

No worries, my friend. It's the digital age, unfortunately. I pray that your aggravation ceases and that all of your accounts are up and running again soon.

Blessings,

Please don't worry about it. It happens to many of us, no matter the safety nets we employ and how often we change our passwords. I'm glad you let us know and I always change my password when I know a friend has been hacked. I experienced all the same emotions when ours was hacked as well. Have a good weekend and don't even give this a second thought. Blessings, Susan Fryman

With all of my heart, thank you Vannetta and Susan :) Your support, encouragement, and prayers mean so much to me.

V, you're amazing and I bless God for you.

Susan, thank you for that :) You also have a wonderful weekend. I am feeling better and thanking God that even in moments like this He is soooo good and faithful. Blessings Susan and V!

My previous email got hacked as well. It had all my important and confidential messages from my contacts. I even had my credit card information in there from my online shopping. If it weren’t for my credit and identity monitoring, the hacker would have had the chance to max-out my credit card. If you have the same messages in your email, you should act immediately. Check your credit records and inform your bank for any suspicious transactions made.

Thanks so much for your comment, Annie, I so appreciate you sharing that :) It's a terrible inconvenience to go through this and even your credit was compromised, wow! Sorry you went through that, but there's definitely a lesson to be learned from the experience.

My email contacts were restored by AOL so I wrote them down and erased them myself. Thanks for the advice, all precautions have been taken, blessings Annie :)
